This policy explains what Gigaverse Games Inc, a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"), collects when you use the Nooby app or website, and what we do with it. We keep it short on purpose. If anything is unclear, write to us at nooby-support@gigaverse.io.
What we collect
Things you give us: the goals, quests, reflections, mood check-ins and notes you enter; your companion's name, items and progress; a display name if you set one; the messages you send to the goal assistant; and, if you link an account, your email address or the identifier your Google or Apple sign-in gives us. You can use Nooby without linking an account.
Things the app records: a random user ID that ties your progress together; your device type, operating system, app version and language; whether the app is online; a push-notification token if you turn reminders on; crash reports and error logs; and how you use the app, such as which screens you open and which features you use.
Session replays: to understand where the app is confusing, our analytics tools record how you move through it. Anything you type and every image are masked before recording, so replays show taps and navigation, not your words.
Purchases: if you subscribe to Nooby Plus, the store tells us your subscription status and history. We never receive your card or bank details.
Age check: the app asks for your birthday once to confirm you are 13 or older. The check happens on your device and only the pass or fail result is kept; the birthday itself is not stored or sent to us.
Website: your email address and join date if you join the waitlist, plus basic, aggregated analytics such as pages viewed and the country of the visit. We do not build advertising profiles.
How we use it
To run Nooby, keep your progress in sync across your devices and restore it if you reinstall. To send you the reminders you set. To understand what is working, fix bugs and decide what to build next. To keep Nooby safe and secure, including limiting abuse of the goal assistant. To provide Nooby Plus and confirm what you are entitled to. To tell you about Nooby if you asked for updates. To meet our legal obligations.
Where the law asks us to name a legal basis, it is: performing our contract with you (running the app you asked for); our legitimate interests (improving and securing Nooby, which we balance against your rights); your consent, where we ask for it, such as for notifications and the goal assistant; and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There are no advertising networks in Nooby.
The goal assistant and AI
When you use the goal assistant, the messages you type, together with your current list of goals and their categories, are sent to Anthropic, whose Claude models generate the reply. We tell you this in the app and ask for your permission before your first message. Anthropic processes this data to provide the service to us under commercial terms that do not allow it to be used to train their models. If you do not want this, do not use the assistant; everything else in Nooby works without it.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run Nooby, acting on our instructions and allowed to use your information only to provide their service to us: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting for our servers and website), Expo (app updates and push-notification delivery), PostHog and Amplitude (product analytics, crash reports and the masked session replays described above), RevenueCat (subscription management), Anthropic (the goal assistant) and Better Stack (server logs).
Apple and Google, when you buy Nooby Plus or sign in with their accounts, under their own privacy policies. Authorities, when the law requires it. A buyer or successor, if Nooby changes hands, under the same protections as this policy.
Friends you add in Nooby can see the profile details the app shows to friends, such as your display name, your companion and your shared streak.
Cookies and similar technology
The website uses only the storage it needs to work, plus privacy-respecting analytics that do not track you across other sites. The app stores your progress on your device so it works offline. Neither uses advertising identifiers.
How long we keep it
Account and progress data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account we delete it from our systems within 30 days, apart from records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as purchase history. Progress that was never linked to an account lives only on your device and goes when you delete the app.
Analytics and session replays are kept by our analytics providers for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. Server logs are kept for a short time for security and debugging. Waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or we close the waitlist.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your account, and everything in it, from the account screen in the app, or by asking us; the account deletion page has the steps and what is deleted or kept. You can turn reminders off in your device settings. You can decline the goal assistant and still use everything else. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
You can also ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable form. Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and California, you may have these rights in law, along with the right not to be treated differently for using them and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. To use them, email us and we will respond within the time the law allows. We may need to verify that it is really you asking.
Children
Nooby is for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. The app checks your age when you first open it and does not let younger users continue. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, tell us and we will delete it. If you live somewhere with a higher age of digital consent, such as parts of the EU, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use Nooby below that age.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login details private.
International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where that happens we rely on recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.
Changes to this policy
When we make a material change we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If the change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly where we can, for example in the app.
